Lock in – or out- the fire

Passive fire protection will only close the gaps when needed.

An open door is no protection

Self-closing hinges are a simple mechanical solution that prevents you from inviting trouble. Intumescent materials in the letter box, expanding seals around the edges or doorframe and a mechanical drop seal at the bottom: we have a wide range of products that are designed to keep you safe. Our range of fire protective door furniture is selected with the installer in mind: they are easy to fit and easy on the eye, often invisible.

Drop Seal PDB 411M

Seals the gap between door and floor, giving protection against fire, smoke, noise, light, vermin and unauthorised entry. It protects against smoke and fire for 60 minutes. Longevity and durability are a necessity: the drop seal is tested for 1.1 million cycles without fail.

ES/SDS Fire and Smoke Seal

This seal has a strip of intumescent material that will close any gaps around the door edges. It also has a smoke brush seal. On the back, the strip has self-adhesive tape for easy installation into the door frame. It can be further secured with panel pins through the brush. It is perfect for retro-fitting in a non-invasive way, for example in listed buildings.

Rebated Fire Door Seal

This rebated seal has intumescent strips to close gaps around the door edge in case of fire. Simple to click into a pre-routed groove in the door edge, the seals have a smoke brush to stop any smoke before the seal has expanded.

Intumescent Letter Boxes

Letter boxes that provide fire, smoke, weather and draught protection. They have a plastic frame and metal face plates in different finishes. A 3.5 mm intumescent seal fitted around the body of the letterbox is tested to seal the void in a fire.

Self-Closing Hinges

These are delivered in a set of 3. They are easily adjusted with a pin to set the speed for how fast they close. Available in several finishes, they look like normal hinges, but they have intumescent pads on the back of the wall plate and they make sure that the door closes, as an open door gives no fire protection at all. We can also offer a range of ancillary products to protect lock areas, handles and the wholes needed for the screws.
